I am drawn to these environments as metaphors for endurance and care—places where pressure and beauty coexist. My goal is to create work that invites viewers to pause, breathe, and experience a sense of presence, rest, and quiet affirmation. the ocean as my subject because she is strong, and she fights back. She can be terrifying, but standing on a sandy beach with calm waters is also one of the most peaceful experiences.
